‘Local Leadership’ is a guide with some practical ideas for councillors and others who want to step up as local leaders in communities and neighbourhoods. It was made by Chamberlain Forum for Birmingham City Council in England in April 2016. It is part of Birmingham’s ‘Future Council’ programme. The content is particularly aimed at helping councillors and other local leaders in Birmingham. We hope, however, it will be useful and interesting wherever you’re based.
The original words and layout were created by Paul Slatter and the illustrations are by Clare Shrouder. The guide is covered by a Creative Commons licence which means you are welcome to copy, distribute and display it and make derivative works and remixes based on it for non-commercial purposes and only if you credit Paul Slatter as the author and Birmingham City Council as the publisher.
